The practice of connecting in community and within group spaces is an integral part of our healing, and central to my work. Decolonizing mental health requires us to decenter individualism in wellness culture, and realize the importance of collective spaces in the constellation of resources that support us.
I facilitate trainings, dialogue, and community building around issues of social, racial, and economic justice, healing for liberation, decolonizing mental health and wellness, and the practice of Liberation Health principles in action.
I am grateful to have facilitated diverse groups (movement workers, educators, community leaders, union workers) across the country through my consulting work with United for a Fair Economy, including at their retreat center in North Carolina, and at The Highlander Center in Tennessee.
I have also run peer-to-peer support groups around mental health needs with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, partial and in-patient hospitals, and community centers.
I have facilitated both virtually and in person. I prioritize language and accessibility needs in all spaces.
