Week 2

Harvesting

Rooting

Noticing the instinct to “go deep”. Why do we want to connect deeply and root in community - how, and with whom? Rooting in abundance to support connection.

Harvesting

What are you harvesting this fall? How will you preserve what you gather, so that it lasts over the winter and can sustain you throughout?

Working in the Dark

What is your relationship to darkness?

Recognizing our evolving relationship with the dark.

Offerings from our group:

Radical Honesty

Listening to, and moving towards spaces where authentic connection is welcomed. Why do we feel most nourished, and safe, in relationships where we can be most ourselves?

Love Stories

Recognizing our love relationships take many forms; with the and, with family, with Self, with partners, with community. What are those spaces where our love relationships interact? E.g. With family on the land.

Inspiration

How do we resource ourselves with the experiential wisdom of others? How are we inspired by others’ practices of care? While the shorter days can be a time of contraction, expanding into “what is possible?”.

Habit and Practice

Making routine our practices of care for self and each other. Forming habits, rather than sporadic acts of care, which are easier to reach for, because of repetition solidifying them as a practice.

Safety

Unlearning that the dark is not safe. Reaching out to community for reassurance in the dark.

Pleasure

Recognizing pleasure for its own sake as something that can sustain us, our communities, and our relationships. Using pleasure as a reward for perseverance.

Brighter Day

Emile Sandé

The night loves the stars as they play about the Darkness...the day loves the light caressing the sun...We love...those who do...because we live in a world requiring light and Darkness...partnership and solitude...sameness and difference...the familiar and the unknown...We love because it’s the only true adventure...
